Beasts is an animated short story written by TV presenter and zoologist Dr Jess French, the award-winning author of the popular Beastlands stories published by Bonnier Book.
Beasts is a truly unique 10-minute bespoke story that is showcased as a 360 immersive experience for audiences to explore. The story takes you to three awe-inspiring worlds, meeting curious creatures along the way. The environments and animation were created by an award-winning animation house, Flipbook Studios, in a 360-degree landscape – allowing it to be projected across multiple floor to ceiling screens and floor projections giving a fully immersive environment.
The animation brings to life the different worlds within the Beastlands (the silk forest, the shiver tips and the crystal caves) as well as animated characters such as Pangaron, Salinka, Scorch Viper, Stench Squirts, Luna Moths, Wet Skins, and Cliff Creepers.
